That I might see what the old world could say

Even my weekends are jam packed! I am prepping cameras, 4 new LED light kits, the multicam and streaming package that are going out on a job while I am working a totally different gig on the other side of town. Next week is non-stop action. From early in the AM until late in the PM, just job after job after job. I love my life though and it feels good.
 I have found I really enjoy producing this show. It’s taking decades of otherwise useless knowledge about how writer’s rooms work, production meetings are held, and the overall vibe of live multicam shows are made, and taking all that and putting it to use on someone’s creation. Being a part of the team, hanging out a few times a week and throwing back a little go-go juice and having a blast. Who could ever complain about that? Not me.

There is a major downside to working this much. I might not be able to attend the Emmy’s this year because I am still waiting to see if we got the bid on a huge job. Given that directing live shows is where my money is made today, I cannot afford to take the time off if we land that. Ever since leaving Production Partners Media and joining up with this other company, I have shifted entirely to live directing for my income. I guess people like what I do. I love doing it, so maybe it’s a mutual cool vibe? Not for me to say.

I guess the overwhelming emotion I have is happiness. Everything is so chill right now. I’ve got so few worries. I’ve got friends, projects, and gear coming out of my nose. The world is my oyster at the moment.

The only question is what do I want to do?
