ALMOST ADEQUATE continues to grow, as well as Johnny Di’s NOT SO LATE SHOW. Which has all lead me down a road to some prosperity. I cannot believe how much of my time and income has converted to live directing. I knew my chances of winning an Emmy are slim to none. I know that every year. Another year, another no-win. I accept the notion that I might not create anything “emmy” worthy. That’s not why I make FRAMELINES or anything I do.

Did the International Indie Gathering again last weekend. Always a great time. Kristina and Ray put on a great show and moderating a few panels, I get to help indie film veterans and some up and comers feel like rockstars, which is so much fun. Selling some DVD’s and books does not suck either.

Finally, this week I am shooting something for me, just me. I hatched a scheme earlier this year how to take something I have done and turn it into a film that I can submit to festivals. This was my path of least resistance, meaning minimal effort and maximum return. I was hoping to shoot something else first and other things after. Instead, this is the ONLY thing I am shooting in terms of narrative. I’ll take it. I am going to have the most fun on this shoot.

I’m prepping for the shoot, prepping all the graphics for ALMOST ADEQUATE, and getting caught up on all the edits for clients. No more time to write here!

“If it keeps on rainin’ levee’s goin’ to break
When the levee breaks I’ll have no place to stay.
Mean old levee taught me to weep and moan
Lord mean old levee taught me to weep and moan
Got what it takes to make a mountain man leave his home
Oh well oh well oh well.
Don’t it make you feel bad
When you’re tryin’ to find your way home
You don’t know which way to go?”
