Got offered a job teaching last night at a Columbus College and I started at 9:00AM this morning with a 3 hour lecture I pulled out of nowhere. Eh, not really nowhere, as I did teach the exact same thing for nearly 5 years somewhere else. I love teaching and these students took notes. Pen on paper, typing on laptops, they actually wrote things down. At my previous school that happened maybe twice. 
I can admit to my addiction. I think the first step to recovery is acknowledging when you have an abnormal desire and craving for something. For me, it’s now drone flights with HD or 4K. All I want to do is get these quadcopters in the air and circle around a subject with the data being recorded to a microscopic MicroSD card. I’m thinking of the pilot’s license, the exam test questions and this will be something I do a lot of soon.
I did a test flight and got two usable shots for a client video. Now all I want to do is get a drone of my own and start getting all kinds of cool new shots. For an upcoming Framelines Interactive Tutorial I have plotted out a few cool shots that will utilize the drone for sure.
My dear droogies, if you have kept up with this blog, then you know my life has been in transition for the past few years. Ever since one life change, so many others followed. And now it looks as if the final pieces of the next decade or so are forming before me. A path is formed by one stone at a time, as they say.
Rossland continues to evolve. I wanted a sleeper couch in the basement for those particularly hot days (and nights). I also didn’t want to spend a lot of money, had to get a matching color, and I already had a brand new mattress for it bequeathed to me. Finally, got one from Value City from the floor models, sans mattress, and exactly 2 inches too big to fit in the door to the basement. We managed to get it in and it fits like a glove. Can’t wait to try it out. More seating for the next party too!
I went through and deleted a couple Youtube videos. Some guys who had a beef with me called me or left messages so I posted the videos of that on my channel. I decided I don’t have time for any of that negative stuff. I just want it to drift away and not get involved myself. I can’t speak for my friends, but I personally want no part in that kind of drama.
So a new part time teaching gig, some new work coming up, and all the shoots I have make for a full dance card, a lot of sleepless nights, and a very happy dude (me).
