Didn’t get to editing on the next Sonnyboo project. Helping a friend with his Saturday Night Live audition reel took precedent. I love this age where someone in Los Angeles can shoot and send me clips, and in a few short hours, I can turn it around with material gathered from YouTube and Vimeo. I hope he gets the gig. Fingers crossed… I already wrote this week’s Sonnyboo Podcast to be shot at the end of the week. A lot less controversial, but a lot more informational. I’m on the cusp of a major move, financial hardship, new work opportunities, and I cannot stop making things. I love making this stuff. It feels great.

I don’t care if no one watches or no one cares. I’m doing something I love doing. Not enough people do what they love. It’s liberating from the constraints of day to day life. Making something, the very act of creation brings light into the world. It can be a legacy, something that sticks to the wall after we’re gone. I do not know how much time I have on this Earth. I only know that some piece of me will stay behind, even if all it does is annoy those few people that hate it with a passion.

Hopefully, I can carve out the time to edit this next Movie Cliché piece. Not a lot to finalize, so it is doable. Just need to get on it. Maybe tomorrow morning. Maybe later tonight, but the last pieces of the puzzle always seem to fall together nicely.

Revel in the making of movies. Take solace in the completion of any work.

The Second Renaissance continues for your faithful narrator….

“If you had one shot, or one opportunity to seize everything you ever wanted, one moment, would you capture it or just let it slip?”
