Editing a new FRAMELINES piece, a follow up on our very first story – Mickey Fisher. Since this piece is going to play in front of a live audience before the premiere of his CBS series EXTANT, I figured I’d pull out all the stops with finishing and color correction. I have a hard time not being more of a perfectionist in editing now. When I get burned out, I procrastinate on the editing part. The funny thing is when I get into it, it’s usually easy to sink in and get lost in the work, and the elation from completion feels the best. I always view editing now as a mountain to climb and I’m at the bottom. Instead of starting, I just market or do other simpler tasks to fill my time.

In the case of the aforementioned Mickey Fisher story for FRAMELINES, I put it off for most of the week thinking it would take so much time. I was done with the main edit in less than 15 minutes, and the color correction is rendering as I type this. Final polishes will take about an hour and it will be ready for the screening on Wednesday night!

Finalized 3 new half hour episodes of Clip Frames this weekend too. Slowly, whittling away at this mountain of work I created for myself. Sleeping better now that I have found a new place to live. I have some all new plans for the future. Many ideas percolating and coalescing into the new dawn.
