Got back from the INDIE GATHERING and had a great time. Kristina and Ray always put together an amazing festival and convention. Marie’s Pizza was consumed and enjoyed. Back to the grind and I eased back into work on Monday, to a full work day on Tuesday, and now I am hammering away at a few things. On breaks from the paid work, I am animating something for the long gestating Uncle Pete’s Play Time project. The new Uncle Pete’s Play Time are getting completed. The first of three new segments is going to be released before the end of the week methinks. It’s taken two years to find someone to take on the character and design for these new ones, and I am very pleased with the outcome.

A new idea to do something a little different with Uncle Pete’s Play Time that I had no considered before. I’m considering a pseudo documentary to wrap around some of the better segments, or something that will make it more “film-y” to submit to film festivals. I want to have no less than 3 new films to start submitting to the 2017 film festival circuit, not including the proper documentary I am planning on a local celebrity that will be shot this fall into the spring of 2017.

Planning my next live action shoot. Picking a date is pretty much all there is left to do. Test shots complete, crane dusted off, casting is complete. All that is left is to just do it. I’m not afraid and no trepidation exist. Time to get off the bench and play.

“I don’t believe everything happens for a reason
To us romantics out here, that amounts to high treason
I don’t go in for your star-crossed lovers
In the heart of a skeptic
There’s a question that still hovers near

For it begs the question
How did I ever find you
Now you got me writing love songs
With a common refrain like this one here, baby

And all your left handed kisses
Were just prelude to another
Prelude to your backhanded love song, baby”
