We shot a new roundtable, panel discussion last night for FRAMELINES, this one on Cinematography. This time we live switched in 24P, a first for us. A Good time was had, work was a joy, and there is less post than ever on this. The only problem was, that I was bleeding throughout the entire thing. I could feel drops of blood trickle down my leg, and I was wrapped in bandages, gauze, and layers. Let’s just say my health is still not doing great. I have been fighting an infection, which has my entire immune system weighing down my body and mind.
I will say, getting this roundtable done after adding it to the list of panel discussions I wanted to do in 2010, I felt relieved and motivated. Being sick for a couple weeks derailed a lot of my motivation, and now it feels like I am back on track. I plan on getting some serious work done in the next several weeks; bang these out 1-2-3-4.
And I wiped the dry erase board in my office. Time to start over. For one of my scripts, I am going to break the story like they do on TV. I want to attack the characters, plot, scenes, and ideas from every angle and try to make sure I get the best story possible. Most TV series do this 13-22 times a year, so the process cannot possibly be a bad way to handle the script.
“To let me dangle at a cruel angle
Oh my feet don’t touch the floor
Sometimes you’re half in and then you’re half out
But you never close the door “
